Our Commitment
Thesis9 is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology, ability or circumstance.
We believe that access to reliable information should be available to everyone. As we continue to develop the site, accessibility is considered alongside usability, performance and security.
Our Aim
We aim to conform, where reasonably practicable, with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. While we may not yet meet every success criterion across every page, accessibility improvements form part of our ongoing development process.
What We Do
We work to ensure that our website:
- Uses clear, readable language wherever possible.
- Has logical page structures and headings.
- Is navigable using a keyboard.
- Supports modern screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Maintains sufficient colour contrast for readability.
- Uses responsive layouts that work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Avoids content that flashes or may trigger photosensitive reactions.
- Provides descriptive links and meaningful page titles where practical.
Third-Party Content
Some content or functionality may be provided by third parties, including embedded media, analytics tools or social media integrations. While we aim to choose accessible providers wherever possible, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content or services.
Browser and Device Support
Thesis9 is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers, including:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
The site is also designed to function on modern smartphones and tablets.
Known Limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing process. There may be occasions where:
- Older articles do not fully meet current accessibility standards.
- Some images published before accessibility improvements may not contain alternative text.
- Third-party embedded content may not be fully accessible.
We are committed to addressing these issues as resources allow.
Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of Thesis9, we would like to hear from you.
Please include:
- The page or URL where the issue occurred.
- A description of the problem.
- The device, browser and any assistive technology you were using (if applicable).
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate the issue and provide an accessible alternative where possible.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time exercise but an ongoing commitment. We regularly review our website and welcome feedback that helps us improve the experience for all readers.
